Analysis of machine components

© IFW Nico Niemeyer

The metrological and simulative analysis of machines and machine components plays a central role in the development process of machine tools. Only by precisely determining the static and dynamic machine properties can the development success be quantitatively assessed. IFW has many years of expertise in the analysis of machine components. In numerous projects, entire machines or individual components have been characterized. This is made possible in particular by the high-quality measurement technology at the institute.

OUR COMPETENCIES IN THE FIELD OF MACHINE COMPONENT ANALYSIS

  • Thermoelastic, static-mechanical and dynamic simulation with ANSYS Workbench
  • Experimental modal analysis with up to 36 accelerometers using the Siemens LMS system
  • Determination of positioning accuracy according to DIN ISO 230-2 using a RENISHAW 6D interferometer
  • Volumetric measurement with an Etalon Lasertracer MT
  • Experimental determination of thermoelastic deformation of machine tools
