Sensor integration in machine components

Reducing scrap, shortening throughput times and saving costs at the same time: these are the requirements for the production of the future. An important part of this is the use of machines that can react independently and quickly to changes in process and state conditions. However, this can only be achieved if the machines or their components have additional "senses" that allow them to recognize such changes. This is done at IFW through the smart integration of sensors.

We are leaders in the field of sensor integration in machine components. Thanks to a fundamental knowledge and numerous successful industry-related implementations, we have a wealth of experience in the integration of sensors and the development of sensory components. On this basis, we are constantly developing innovative solutions to make machines even more intelligent and to actively shape the production of the future.

OUR COMPETENCIES IN THE FIELD OF SENSOR INTEGRATION IN MACHINE COMPONENTS:

  • Localization of optimal sensor positions
  • Development of suitable sensor concepts for a wide range of applications
  • Methods for the fusion of sensor signals
  • Development of strategies for targeted optimization of manufacturing processes based on sensor data
