Highlights of the Annual General Meeting
At 2 p.m., the members of the Association of Friends and Alumni of the IFW Hannover e.V. opened their Annual General Meeting at the Mechanical Engineering Campus in Garbsen. There, Dr.-Ing. Siebo Stamm presented a new offer for entrepreneurs: the IFW Entrepreneur Round Table Hannover. It is intended to offer self-employed people and founders a protected space for open and honest exchange and will take place once a quarter in future. Interested parties can contact Siebo Stamm (stamm@aqonvis.com) directly.
Alumni seminar: Four start-ups from the IFW introduce themselves
The meeting was followed by the alumni seminar in the IFW's test field. In short, ten-minute pitches, four IFW start-ups presented their business ideas and products. Afterwards, participants took the opportunity to ask questions and talk to the founding teams. The following were presented:
- Dr.-Ing. Siebo Stamm and Dr.-Ing. Daniel Arnold demonstrated with AQonvis how companies can use their operating data to make informed production decisions.
- Talash Malek, Hai Nam Nguyen and Ali Zargarian presented innovative software solutions for CNC machining with Hooosh.
- Dr.-Ing. Oliver Pape and Dr.-Ing. Arne Mücke used Toolyzer from Tetralytix to show how companies can use simulations to optimise their cutting tools and processes.
- Dennis Stoppel and Hendrik Voelker explained how component identification works clearly and without marking using Visiontag.
The seminar ended at around 5 p.m. and led directly into the festive highlight of the day: the IFW Ball. From 7 p.m. onwards, alumni and employees came together again – this time for food, drink, music and dancing, as well as the presentation of the ‘Hans Kurt Tönshoff Prize’.
