Workshop talk at the IFW: How does artificial intelligence support the production of gears?

Using artificial intelligence beneficially for complex manufacturing processes in machining. In the workshop talk, experts from the IFW, Gildemeister and Artis show how this can be done. In the workshop talk, they will show how AI was developed in the IIP-Ecosphere demonstrator, what pitfalls were encountered and how they can be solved. Participants can engage in conversation with the experts at the Q&A.

Together with the production departments of innovative industrial companies, we are developing innovative AI solutions for different automation levels as demonstrators in the IIP-Ecosphere project. In our four-part series, these demonstrators are presented in workshop talks.

The third workshop talk on our demonstrator AI-based assistance systems for cycle optimization will take place on October 18 in cooperation with Gildemeister Drehmaschinen GmbH and Artis Marposs Monitoring Solutions GmbH as a live broadcast from the machine shop of the Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Machine Tools in Garbsen, where the demonstrator is located.

Look forward to the presentation of the demonstrator and a more detailed insight into how artificial intelligence supports machining production. The focus will be on the intelligent parameterization of gear hobbing and how the process can be monitored with AI.
