The 2026 retreat of Collaborative Research Centre 1368 “Oxygen-Free Production” brought together researchers from various disciplines in Bremen. Over the course of three days, the focus was on scientific exchange and the further development of joint research approaches. The aim of the retreat was to consolidate current findings, generate new impetus for collaboration, and drive forward strategic preparations for the upcoming funding period.
The sub-projects C04 and B03, conducted at the IFW and investigating the influence of oxygen on the turning and grinding processes, were also represented and presented current findings as well as ideas and potential for future research. Through lectures, workshops and poster sessions, participants came together to exchange views on current developments, shared research questions and new research approaches.
In addition to the technical programme, the retreat also provided an opportunity for personal interaction. Joint programme items and activities in Bremen enabled participants to explore the city and continue the interdisciplinary dialogue beyond the scientific discussions.
