Beschreibung

In this work, diamond grinding wheels are frst manufactured with two diferent metallic bonds. These are a ductile and a brittle bronze. Two diferently graded (varied grain concentration) grinding wheels and two non-graded reference grinding wheels are manufactured in each case. The mechanical properties of these are then determined. Subsequently, a method is presented that enables the profling of graded grinding wheels. For this purpose, the grinding wheels are profled with SiC rolls using diferent profling parameters. The profle accuracy after profling is analysed using contour profles in polyurethane. In addition, the dressing ratio and the process duration of profling are measured. These parameters are used to determine the economic efciency of the profling process. Finally, this provides a bond-dependent profling process that can economically and reproducibly generate a target contour on a grinding tool.
