Beschreibung

In this study investigates of the influence of process parameters on the chipping behavior of cemented carbide greens are carried out. Machining was performed on extruded and additive manufactured green carbide blanks using a plane test bench. It was shown, that the crack length mainly depends on the undeformed chip thickness. The results also indicate that the surface roughness is affected by the orthogonal rake angle and depth of cut. Additionally, the printing orientation has an impact on the machined surface. Cutting forces are also influenced by the undeformed chip thickness. The orthogonal rake angle influences the crack length of the workpieces. Due to this, the process for green machining can be optimized in order to reduce the surface and subsurface damage for extruded and non-debound additive manufactured green
